Our 21st Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) will be held in conjunction with the College of Radiologists, Singapore, on the 11th and 12th of February 2012 at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital Auditorium.

  This year’s theme will be "Breast and Thoracic Imaging: Where do we go from here?" With advances in technology, come earlier and more accurate detection, diagnosis and treatment. Has this made life simpler or more difficult for us? Come and join us for the latest updates and stimulating discussions in breast and thoracic imaging.

  In addition, there will be a refresher course running parallel to the main conference. Radiographers, therapists and nurses will also have focused tracks run specially for them. A special one day symposium on Stereotactic Lung Radiotherapy for radiation oncologists will also be incorporated into the ASM.

  Last, but not least, there will be three prestigious awards given out : Young investigator award, Best free paper and Best poster. The closing date for submissions is 31st December, so put your thinking caps on!

  The 2012 Singapore Final MMed-FRCR 2B Preparation course will be run by the Division of Graudate Medical Studies (DGMS) of the National University of Singapore (NUS). Details are as follows:

This course is aimed at preparing the participants who are interested in and eligible for Part 1 FRCR examination. It aims to provide appropriate knowledge of the physical principles that underpin a variety of diagnostic medical imaging modalities such as conventional x-radiography, x-ray fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography (CT). Ultrasound imaging, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), SPECT and PET.

 The Royal College of Radiologists will be holding the 2012 Spring Final FRCR (part B) exam in conjunction with the NUS Final MMed (Diagnostic Radiology) exam, as follows:

LOCAL EVENTS

  The Abdominal Imaging subsection of the SRS holds regular meetings, usually on the first Wednesday of every third month.
