NEW! RADIOLOGY RESOURCES SEARCH
|
|
Full details about the new format examination, which will be introduced at the Spring 2009 sitting, have now been published by the Royal College of Radiologists.
The scope of the new examination is broader than the current
examination as it includes those elements of physics that are currently
covered by the Final FRCR Part A Examination.

|
Based on the website of the Royal College of Radiologists, changes to the FRCR examinations are being proposed. The 5 main areas for change, and their planned dates of implementation, are summarised below:
1. Single test of physics knowledge - Spring 2009
2. Electronic format for rapid reporting session - Spring 2009
3. Single best answer (SBA) format questions for the Final FRCR Part A exam - Autumn 2009
4. Test of anatomy knowledge - Spring 2010
5. Electronic format for reporting session - not before Spring 2010
Key changes proposed include the return of formal testing of anatomy knowledge, and the introduction of electronic formats for both the rapid reporting and reporting components of the final FRCR exam.
