LOCAL EVENTS

  The Abdominal Imaging subsection of the SRS holds regular meetings, usually on the first Wednesday of every third month. Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a common procedure that is used to manage liver cancer. Now with the new ablation techniques, RFA of benign thyroid nodules is made possible as the latest treatment option for patients all over the world. It is an honour to invite Dr Jung Hwan Baek, inventor of this new RFA technique to Singapore to conduct this interactive workshop for our doctors.

This half-day workshop is designed to support the safe and effective application of RFA for thyroid nodules in routine clinical practice. It includes hands-on practical demonstrations, and an overview on relevant principles and practice of application. This workshop also covers an update on the management of thyroid nodules in medical, surgical and nuclear medicine perspectives.
